As a professional matchmaker, I am often asked where are the best places for a date in Los Angeles, here are just some of my top picks:
1. The Huntington Gardens in San Marino
This beautiful botanical garden just outside of Pasadena is just perfect for a romantic date. Put on your walking shoes and be prepared to take in some of the most beautiful gardens in Los Angeles. If the $20 price of admission is a little much, keep your eye out for monthly free days.
2. Olivera Street.
Get a taste of old California with a trip to Olivera Street. You can chow down on good Mexican food. Save gas and parking, by taking the Metro to Union Station and walking across the street.
3. Griffith Park
There is something for everyone to do here, from hiking, golf, to the historical observatory or even just a picnic.
4. The Rose Bowl Flea Market
Grab your coffee and head out early for this monthly flea market and The Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
5. The PCH (Pacific Coast Highway also known as Highway 1)
A drive down the PCH is a romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, start in Santa Monica and head towards Malibu. If you have time, you can stop off at the Getty Villa, a great art museum.
6. The Farmer’s Market/The Grove
Old meets new at the Farmer’s Market ( built in the 1930’s) and the outside shopping mall. Eat lunch at the farmer’s market and catch a movie at the Grove.
7. The Getty Center
One of the best art museums in Los Angeles set up in the Santa Monica mountains.
